When I came to Stansted for the first time it felt quite surrealistic in the little automatic train between the gates and the main building hearing the announcements in several languages of the world. Here the little train is nearing the station for the gates.
The postcard this week comes from King´s Cross station in London in 2014. The picture has been published before on From My Horizon in 2014.

The postcard this week comes from Steel Rigg on Hadrian´s wall. I made the mistake to climb the cliff and became dizzy. Before I climbed back down I took this view of a tiny turret on Hadrian´s wall. The picture is taken in april 2017.
The postcard this week comes from Housesteads on Hadrian´s wall in Northumbria in England. When you have a large empire to rule you need to have order and a standard layout was used on most forts in the Roman empire, adapted of course to the place where they were built. In the picture above one can see remnants of the buildings of the Roman fort at Housesteads in Northumbria, England. The wall was built by the Romans in the second decade AC. The picture is taken april 2017.
A little further north in England from the last posting of a road and dense clouds in the Peak district I took this picture on our way in Cumbria and Northumberland of a dense and dark cloud on our way between Carlisle and Haltwhistle in northern England. The picture has been published before on From My Horizon.
