The postcard this week comes from Devil´s Dyke in Cambridgeshire. I am standing on top of the ridge looking down on the British stud side. Devil’s Dyke is one of the best surviving examples of Anglo-Saxon earthwork in Britain. More information here. The picture has been published on Weekly Weather in september 2016.
The postcard this week comes from a misty september morning in Newmarket in 2013. I am on my way to look at the horses trained on Warren Hill. To the left in the picture is the wall to the king´s palace and to the right a glimpse of what once was his stables. Further along the street Nell Gwynn’s white cottage is seen. The picture has been published on Weekly Weather in 2013.
A common enough motif for tourists to London – London Eye. The picture was originally published on Weekly Weather in May 2014.
