The Western Harbour

The postcard this week is from an early morning at the beginning of 2016 and the picture shows the the western harbour seen from the other side of Universitetsbron in Malmö harbour. The picture has been publish on My Horizon before as Harmony in Blue.


Old industrial buildings in Finspång

We are in Finspång in Östergötland in Sweden. The industries of Finspång originated in the sixteenth century with royal factories for cannons and cannon balls. Finspång castle was built by Louis de Geer, part of a walloon family imported to Sweden for their know-how in iron mining and iron production.. The picture is taken in the autumn of 2014 and published before on From My Horizon.

This is the quay where the ferries for Copenhagen where moored in the days before the Öresund bridge between Sweden and Denmark. Sadly there are no ferries any more.
